Vision
As a Head type, the Seven processes the world through thinking and planning. Their core emotion is fear — avoided by staying busy, positive, and future-focused. They ask: 'Will I be okay? What exciting option comes next?'
As an Assertive type, the Seven moves against people. They go after what they want with enthusiasm and energy, shaping the environment to keep options open. Proactive and fast-moving, they resist being limited.
As a Positive Outlook type, the Seven reframes problems optimistically. They focus on possibilities, avoid pain and negativity, and maintain enthusiasm — sometimes at the cost of sitting with difficult realities.
To look to the future and its possibilities as a way to mitigate anxiety — driven by the need to keep options open and stay ahead of pain. The mind reframes suffering as opportunity; slowing down risks confronting the fear that lies beneath the enthusiasm.
Know that 'less is more.' Aware of the energy invested in manufacturing happiness. They know joy is a gift that can only be received. Focused, present, and deeply grateful.
Reframe almost everything sad or limiting, changing the narrative so negative events are recast positively. Find ways to ensure an entertaining, happy experience at all costs.
See themselves and environment as inadequate. Feel sorry for themselves. Try to avoid pain at any cost, leading to escapism, addiction, and scattered energy.
Go against gluttony through conscientious efforts to be of service. Conscious of wanting to avoid exploiting others — need to be seen as good.
Express gluttony through imagining something better than ordinary reality. Idealistic dreamers, gluttons for things of a higher world.
Express gluttony through making alliances and creating opportunities for advantage. Pragmatic and self-interested, they build networks strategically.
Being present in the moment, experiencing the full spectrum of life as it is in the here and now, without any extra hype or escape into ideation. Developing the inner leadership and will to decline the temptation of novelty and to bring focus and responsibility to one's relationships and roles. Caring from the heart for the consequences to others of one's decisions and actions, and taking their needs and feelings seriously.
Future plans, possibilities, exciting options, and positive experiences. Attention goes to what could be enjoyable and stimulating — away from pain, limitation, and boredom.
The impact of their scattered energy on others, how reframing avoids real pain, the ways gluttony for experience prevents depth, and the fear beneath the optimism.
Move toward Type 5 to develop focus, depth, and the ability to sit with what is rather than chasing what's next. Integrate Type 1's discipline and commitment to follow through.
